Mattone Font is a family of sans-serif typefaces. The name comes from the Italian word for “brick”, which is what the typeface was designed to resemble. The first member of the Mattone Font family was released in 2001 and was designed by Lucio Passarelli.
Lucio Passarelli was born in Rome, Italy, in 1974. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome in 1999. He has worked as a graphic designer and art director for various advertising agencies and design studios in Rome.
